The final part of a documentary series focusing on American musician R. Kelly’s history of sexual abuse is set to arrive on Netflix this weekend.
Season 3: The Final Chapter will wrap up the Surviving R. Kelly docu-series. It will focus on the 2021 trial that finally put the R&B musician behind bars.
The disgraced rapper is now serving a 30-year sentence after being found guilty on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking in 2022.
The new episodes follow survivors and their families as they prepare to testify in court proceedings, and also features the journalists who covered the trial.
The final season will feature four episodes - Years in the Making, Taking a Stand, John Doe #1 and The Final Verdict - all directed by Nigel Bellis and Astral Finnie.
The first season received a 95 per cent approval rating, and the premiere episode was Lifetime’s highest rated programme in more than two years, with 1.9 million viewers.
The season went on to win a Peabody Award in the Documentary category.
