The capper to the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy is already receiving gold stars ahead of its premiere on May 5 with some fans saying ‘it’s the best Marvel film since Endgame’, writes Mai Al-Khatib Camille.
A special European gala screening for the James Gunn Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 film was held at Disneyland Paris on April 22 with some fanatics shedding tears and others applauding the Marvel masterpiece.
Cinemania’s Janire Zurbano said the film was ‘tremendously emotional’ while fan FourmiLily said her heart was ‘full and broken at the same time’.
Meanwhile, Digital Spy’s Ian Sandwell called it a ‘brilliant end to a brilliant trilogy’, while El Español’s Valentina Morillo and critic Matías Rebolledo both believed it to be the best Marvel film since Endgame.
Notre Cinema’s Anetha Claux called it ‘the ultimate intergalactic adventure’, and shared that fans’ questions will be answered.
According to critic Emil Franchi, the film ‘completes the perfect Marvel Cinematic Universe’.
Vol. 3 focuses on the past of beloved Rocket Racoon (Bradley Cooper) and bids farewell to the group as we know it.
While Rocket’s origin story pulls at the heart strings, Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) and Gamora (Zoe Saldaña) have a lot of work ahead of them as they deal with the new Gamora who is from a different timeline. The other Gamora that Peter was romantically involved with got killed in Avengers: Endgame by her father Thanos (Josh Brolin).
The cast also features Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Elizabeth Debicki, Sean Gunn, Will Poulter, Daniela Melchior, Chukwudi Iwuji, and Sylvester Stallone.
So strap in as the galactic group takes viewers on a journey among the stars.
