Triathlete, social media influencer and successful entrepreneur Dana Zubari sparkles and shines alongside her family and friends in her new jewellery line…proving that she can do it all, and then some.
The 40-year-old managing director and co-founder of Tru Active, a colourful and comfortable sportswear line, has added a new feather to her fashion cap.
Dana has collaborated with Cadiz Jewellery to create a collection conceptualised after her morning runs with her popular ladies group, called Lettuce Run, which she co-founded with triathlete star and Ironman finisher Mariam Turki.
“The collection is called Shams (Sun) and the name is literally inspired by my sunrise runs and how I draw inspiration from nature, because I always run in areas either by the sea or those that are heavily green,” Dana, who is a three-time Ironman finisher from Saar, told GulfWeekly.
“When I run, I draw so much positive energy from nature, so we created a collection around all of that positive energy.”
According to the jewellery brand, the collection which is made up of pieces of gold, diamonds, lapis, malachite and turquoise, is also motivated by Dana’s vibrant free spirit.
“The natural beauty of these stones combined with the elegance of gold creates a stunning collection that captures the essence of Dana,” said the brand’s spokesperson. “Gold for the sun, diamond for the sparkle of the sun, turquoise for the sky, lapis for the sea and Malachite for the trees.”
The Shams line, launched at Jewellery Arabia, includes earrings, necklaces and rings. It also features a ‘Mummy and Me’ collection in which Dana’s daughter Layla Khonji posed in on her Instagram @danazubari.
As for what’s next, Dana feels the ‘sky is the limit’.
“I’m constantly changing and evolving and creating a brand that is myself,” she said.
“Had you asked me five years ago if I would have my own jewellery line, I would not have guessed it! But I feel my energy always attracts amazing and new opportunities for me.”
