AMERICAN country singer Morgan Wallen broke records and stole the spotlight last Sunday at the 2023 Atlanta Georgia Billboard Music Awards.

Making strides in the music community, Wallen became the first artist in history in nearly two decades to take home awards in both top Billboard 200 album, One Thing at a Time, as well as Top Hot 100 song, Last Night.

The 30-year-old singer amassed an impressive 11 awards, marking the highest one-year tally since Canadian rapper Drake clinched 12 in 2019.

The artist dominated the country categories, securing awards for the top country artist, top country song, top country album, and top country tour.

The star also performed his hit single and fan-favourite song 98 Braves from his album One Thing at a Time, and later gave an acceptance speech at the ceremony.

“Like the song says, you win some you lose some,” said Wallen.

“The last awards show I went to, we came home empty-handed. This one, I don’t have enough hands for them all. So either way, I promise I’m gonna stay the same, whether we come home with 10 or zero.”

Continuing, he expressed his love to his fans that have supported him throughout his career – making him into one of ‘Billboard’s top artists’.

Since marking his fame on the popular sixth season of The Voice, the songwriter has hit mega milestones in his career, including nomination for a Grammy Award.
