AMERICAN film director Christopher Landon has officially exited from the horror film Scream 7.
Scream, which is an American slasher franchise, was announced to be in development on August 3, but now fans aren’t so sure about when the movie’s future, due to the series of exits by members of production.
Christopher made the announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday.
“I guess now is as good a time as any to announce I formally exited Scream 7 weeks ago,” he wrote.
He added that though this will disappoint some and delight others, it was a dream job that later turned into a nightmare.
“My heart did break for everyone involved. Everyone. But it’s time to move on.”
This comes after Melissa Barrera, the star of the fifth and sixth installments, and Jenna Ortega exited the film franchise.
According to reports, Melissa was fired from the film after she shared pro-Palestinian posts on her social media.
Jenny had decided to leave the sequel earlier this year due to her Wednesday Season 2 shooting schedule.
After the exit from Christopher, Jenny and Melissa, the film currently has no director or leading actors.
