THE Island’s much-awaited theatrical entertainer Tamar Leek aka Bahrain Barbie is making a return to the stage this month, as the crown jewel of an exciting Broadway-style show, writes Melissa Nazareth.
She will be joined by fellow show-stopping singers, lively dancers, classic and comical acting skits, breathtaking aerial shows and acrobatics, at a venue in Adliya.

The act will feature classic movie scenes with a modern, musical twist, that will keep the audience entertained throughout the evening.
A teaser event hosted yesterday saw familiar faces returning to the stage, including the talented Tamar, who is known for her production show expertise and spectacular singing voice. Tamar worked with the specialist international team at Viola to hand-craft their most exciting show yet. The teaser was well-received, further fuelling the excitement for the return of the fan-favourite act.
“I am excited to be performing for this popular theatrical show again,” Tamar told GulfWeekly. “This season’s theme is Wealth, Greed, Diamonds and Riches, which brings alive both the dark and glamourous side to wealth. We will be performing on popular vintage classic songs but offering a unique, creative perspective to it, which I’m sure the audience will enjoy.”
Some of the songs that will feature are oldies like Material Girl by Madonna and newer favourites like Diamonds by Rihanna. The show will end on a high note with the finale number Money, Money, Money by ABBA. Enjoy this inspired production specially handcrafted by the best in the industry.
The show is set to be staged at Viola on April 24 from 9.30pm onwards.
