FASTEN your seat belts as Space Cadet is set to fly you to the stars!
The movie will be streamed on Prime on July 4.
Emma Roberts plays Rex Simpson, a party girl whose interesting application and help of her best friend Nadine (Poppy Liu) get her into the Nasa training programme, putting the protagonist in a position where she determines to prove herself in a class of qualified astronauts.
Directed and written by Liz W Garcia, the movie marks Emma Roberts’ return to comedy.
In an interview, Emma expressed her excitement over re-entering the genre.
The actress said the movie reminded her of her old roles in films such as the 2008 hit Wild Child, as well as other staples in the same genre.
“This is one of my favourite scripts I’ve ever read!” Emma said.
“It reminded me of Legally Blonde and Private Benjamin.Writer/director Liz Garcia is someone I’ve wanted to work with for so long,” she added.
“She wrote the character Rex to inspire people to follow their dreams and I was excited to bring that to life. This is a feel-good movie with lots of laughs, which is what I want to see these days!”
The film is also set to exclusively screen on June 27 at the Space Centre Houston theatre, promising the attendees an otherworldly experience.
