THE design community will benefit from knowledge sharing and cutting-edge showcases as the seventh edition of Tanween, Saudi Arabia’s leading design conference, kicks off today.
The King Abdulaziz Centre for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran will host international designers, thought leaders and innovators, who will offer insights into their creative journeys.
This year’s theme, Fail Forward, invites designers to embrace an innovative mindset when faced with creative challenges.
The event will feature a series of panel discussions, workshops and exhibitions, fostering cross-cultural exchanges and creative opportunities. The roster of experts includes Forbes-awarded creative entrepreneur and designer Farah AlHumaidhi, and Bahrain-based architect Sara Kanoo, who is listed as one of the leading Middle Eastern Women Designers by international design authority AD Middle East, among others.
This year’s edition will also feature the unveiling of the second collaborative exhibition between Ithra and Italian design platform Isola.
Building on the global success of its previous editions, Tanween will continue to showcase a number of its initiatives at key international design events, including at Dubai Design Week, from November 5 to 10. Tanween will continue until November 6.
