A BOOK about an Arab’s fondness for the English culture has been launched by a Saudi author, who has also delved deep into the countries’ 200-year shared history.

Arab News editor-in-chief Faisal Abbas unveiled Anecdotes of an Arab Anglophile at Bahrain’s Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre for Culture and Research.

The centre’s founder and chairperson Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa attended the event, which also hosted diplomats, researchers and other intellectuals.

The publication is a collection of stories that blend humour and cultural observations. It also features Faisal’s personal experiences and is available at Jarir bookstore.
