DARK comedy series No Good Deed is streaming now on Netflix.

The story follows three different families racing to buy the same 1920’s Spanish-style house, which they believe is the answer to their problems.

However, they will discover that the home of one’s dreams can be a nightmare.

The show particularly focuses on the Morgan family and their conflict - former concert pianist Lydia, a loving, flawed mother, is distraught by the idea of giving up their home, which holds sentimental value to her.

Meanwhile, her spouse Paul is a stressed out, financially struggling contractor who wants to pay off his debts by selling the house.

“We meet them at a little bit of a crossroads, it’s a really interesting time in their lives,” series creator Liz Feldman said about the couple in an interview.

“We know they’re about to go through some major changes. They know they’re about to go through some major changes in their lives, but they have no idea how major,” she added.

Liz also expressed her joy on working with the two actors, describing Lisa as one of the most ‘unique, surprising, and subversively dark comedians on the planet’.

“I felt so excited to be able to work with her in a capacity where she gets to really go deep as Lydia, and Ray is this instantly likable person who carries so much emotional baggage that you know is there, but he’s so good at hiding it,” she said.

Lisa expressed her delight working alongside fellow co-star Ray, calling it a ‘dream come true’.

“It’s everything I sort of fantasised. I’d see Ray in other things and say, ‘God, he’s a really good actor. I’d love to work with him, but I guess that’ll never happen’,” she said.

When the opportunity presented itself, she was nervous but found the experience to be exactly what she expected.

“He’s everything I thought he would be. He’s easy. He’s effortless. He’s a fantastic actor,” she added.
