I really enjoyed Mai Camille’s article in last week’s GulfWeekly about her wing walking experience. I can’t believe there are people who do that for a living! I think she’s really brave for trying it.
Last week a friend of mine stumbled across an article in The Independent whilst doing some research for a debate. After beckoning a few people over to read said article, we all shared in her shock and disgust.
Generosity is always welcomed … even if it is accidental. Recently a friend of the whisperer fancied some sushi. She and her husband made their way to a restaurant for a taste of new combination Maki rolls. After devouring the platter, the wife decided to pick up the tab to thank her husband for his patience with all the errands they were running that day. As her husband made a zip line to the bathroom, she requested the bill which totaled to around BD10.700. She stuffed a BD20 into the little binder and handed it back to the waiter.
