BE WARNED! The latest ploy by internet criminals is to call unsuspecting residents in Bahrain on their landline, telling them that their partner’s email has been scammed and it is interfering with the work of government officials. The woman caller then passes the phone to a male accomplice who instructs the receiver to go on to the family computer, follow instructions before remotely securing control of the device. By paying a fixed fee of several hundred dollars with a credit card the service will be returned, the caller says. Don’t fall for it.
