Marina West, Bahrain’s first gated residential beachfront community, was launched last week.
Southern Governor and Public Commission for the Protection of Marine Resources Environment and Wildlife president Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who is also the project’s patron, officiated at the ground-breaking ceremony, which was followed by the release of hundreds of doves. The ceremony at the site of the development on the kingdom’s west coast, near Janabiya, was attended by more than 300 guests, including dignitaries, the business community and the media. Above, Shaikh Abdulla is shown the model of Marina West by Mr Janahi, chairman and chief executive office of AAJ Holdings Company, which is spearheading Marina West, watched by Municipalities and Agriculture Minister Mansoor Bin Rajab, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Nazar Al Baharna and officials.
