Two months ago, on February 11 Juni Capulong from the Style House of Haute Couture signed with Karolline Immanuel, general manager — MICE Management to organise The Tale of Two Seas fashion show and gala dinner.
Now with just two weeks to the event, all sponsors are on board and ticket sales are open to the public and there is an air of excitement as the final day comes close. The Tale of Two Seas will take place on April 12, at the Diplomat Radisson SAS, Grand Ballroom. Juni will present an exclusive collection of 60 outfits in a four-part show named after the four elements of life — Earth, Wind, Water and Fire. A lavish buffet dinner and beverages will follow the show. Tickets to the show are priced at BD40 (inclusive of dinner) and are now available at the Diplomat Radisson SAS and the Budget Car Rental office in the Sheraton Complex. For Corporate companies or individuals who are interested in entertaining their VIP clientele on the eve of the F1, tickets or tables (10 persons) can be booked by calling MICE Management who will get the same hand-delivered. Ten per cent of the ticket sales will be donated to RIA (Regional Institute for Active Learning), which is located in Adliya and caters to children with special needs. Post-dinner, two outfits from the collection will be auctioned and the money will be donated to RIA. “It is going to be a grand affair and things have materialised just as we visualised when we started two months ago. With all the hard work that’s been put into the making of this mega event, I am sure that the audience will be pleased with the events of the evening,” said Juni. The show will feature 10 female and 10 male models of different nationalities that were finalised after Juni received over 200 profiles of various models for the auditions. Juni short-listed their profiles and met them for a one-on-one audition. Felda Del Prado will do the hair and make-up for the female models while Louie Capistrano will style the male models. The show will be presented in a one-of-a-kind fashion with a multimedia backdrop which will be projected on a huge screen compiled by putting together multiple state-of-the-art screens.
