HOME-HUNTERS are on the march in Bahrain and thousands will be heading through the doors of the international exhibition centre over the next few days.

After GulfWeekly last week highlighted the growing number of expats who are buying into the Bahrain dream, the organisers of Property Arabia 2007 are expecting a record number of visitors.
The organisers of the second Middle East Property & Investment Exhibition which opens today and runs until Sunday say they have been overwhelmed by the amount of interest the event has ignited.
Stephen Key, chief executive of Arabian Exhibition Management, said: “There is so much happening in Bahrain at the moment it’s not surprising people are searching for as much information about the kingdom’s developments as they can.
“Fortunately Property Arabia 2007 is the ideal opportunity for anyone thinking about investing in property or buying a new home to see what options are available. Visitors can talk with experts, view models and obtain financing – all under one roof.”
On show will be a wide range of properties and property-related services including apartments and penthouses, agents, architects, financial institutions, interiors, hotel and tourism operators, new city and town projects, resort and island properties and water-front and luxury developments.

Al Khaleej Development
Al Khaleej Development Company (Tameer) is a leading real estate investment, advisory and property development group in Bahrain. Tameer projects include:
Bahrain Investment Wharf is Tameer’s most prestigious and visionary project to date. The $1.6 billion project will cover an area of 1.7 million sq m in the new Hidd Industrial Development Zone.
Bahrain Investment Wharf will develop business communities comprising a number of specialist parks including an industrial park, followed by a services park, a logistics and supply chain park, a business park and a residential park. The project will also incorporate a hotel exhibition hall and conference facilities.
Durrat Al Bahrain Marina at Durrat Al Bahrain covering an area of 600,000 sq m, and catering to nearly 4,000 households, is a specially designed waterfront project that will comprise villas, town houses and apartments, commercial space, recreational facilities, cafes and restaurants.
The $1.3 billion Durrat Al Bahrain Marina is a luxurious residential, commercial and family tourism project, covering 20 square kilometres, located on the south east coast of Bahrain.
Components include Atoll Islands villas, Petal Islands villas, Crescent Island apartments, retail outlets and restaurants, a hotel and a golf course.
Tala Island is an exclusive gated island residential community at Amwaj Islands covering an area of 136,000 sq m and a total cost of over $120 million. The project will comprise 90 beach villas and 560 apartments available on a freehold basis, and also feature swimming pools, a health club and sports centre, tennis courts, restaurants and retail areas. It is a component of the $1.5 billion, 30 million square feet Amwaj Islands development, located off the coast of Muharraq Island.
Madaen Al Luzi is a residential community project offering affordable housing for mid-income Bahraini families. With a total project value of $75 million, and covering an area of 700,000 square feet, Madaen Al Luzi will provide 813 household units, comprising 105 villas and 708 apartments.

Century 21 Real Estate
Century 21 Real Estate projects across Bahrain include the following:
Juffair Views will house 26 storeys of one and two bedroom apartments, all with sea views, balconies and storage space and will offer a host of state-of-the-art amenities. Two bedroom units will be fitted with individual laundry rooms. It also offers a three bedroom penthouse with terraces overlooking the sea.
