Colours of India art exhibition at La Fontaine Centre of Contemporary Art, Manama, 10am-1pm and 4pm-6pm.

Thursday (May 24)
Fafa will be performing at Likwid, at the City Centre Hotel. Doors open at 10pm with a warm-up set by resident Mr. K and Fafa goes on at midnight sharp.  Tickets are BD7 at the door and BD5 for ladies and Likwid ID holders. Paris-based Fafa began to make a name in the 80s when he was presenting a show on Riviera's radio station, mixing Funk, Disco, Hip-Hop, and Dance-Music. This will be Fafa’s third visit to Bahrain. Saudi-based four-piece band Sid and the Tonics will perform at the Dilmun Club’s Candles restaurant in Saar. The band’s current line-up features John Hawkyard, lead, vocals, guitars; Dave Smart – backing vocals, guitars, Dave Pyne – bass guitar; and Brian Bahr – drums. They are making a return visit to the Dilmun Club due to popular demand and their repertoire will include 60s, 70s and 80s rock music. Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets for the evening cost BD8 for members and BD12, for guests inclusive of dinner and show.

Party-goers are in for a treat as the popular Dubai-based Peppermint Club comes to Bahrain for a one-night experience with famous Dutch Armin Van Buuren. The show, entitled Peppermint Xperience Bahrain will be held at the Marina Club’s arena, Manama, and promises to be an unforgettable evening. Warm up set will feature international DJ Blake Jarrel. Two new significant awards, namely best Radio Show and Best Compilation for a State of Trance 2004 at the Miami Winter Music Conference Awards in Florida, US were awarded to the artist who was born to a musical family in 1976. His stunning new album Shivers showcases his debut as a songwriter. Tickets are priced at BD10 regular pre-purchase, BD12 regular at the gate, BD30 (inclusive of two drinks) VIP pre-purchase and BD35 VIP at the gate. They will be available at Euphoria (Seef Mall), Motorox Café (Budaiya Road) and selected Costa Coffee outlets across Bahrain soon.

Friday (May 25)
Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, an exciting and dramatic choral work will be performed in Bahrain at the Crowne Plaza hotel. The Manama Singers and Bahrain Concert Sinfonia will perform the piece for one night only at the hotel’s Conference Centre, with visiting musicians and singers from all around the Gulf and soloists from all over the globe. Carmina Burana is a stunning work of incredible magnitude requiring not only a full symphony orchestra, but two pianos and a vast percussion section, not to mention a choir which is likely to be in excess of 100 singers. Tickets priced at BD11, BD8 and BD6 can be obtained from the Bookcase in Budaiya (Tel: 17 690566) and Hava Java in Seef Mall (Tel: 17 582324).

French House Master DJ Jeff K is the guest artist to perform at Coral Beach Club.  Doors open at 12 noon. Master Jeff K will perform from 4pm and the party will go on until sunset. A fun day for children, at the Country Club in Budaiya, from 10am to 3pm. The event is open to children aged 7 to 16 years.
