Dear Stan,
Why isn't Bahrain adopting the same time zone of Dubai instead of Saudi Arabia?
Geographically speaking, it seems more logical it will make the day longer and will definitely save energy. And if we see a lot of energy saving campaigns around, why isn't the kingdom adopting the daylight saving time in the summer? And I also have a suggestion, while it's so difficult to travel between the GCC countries by land, why don't all the GCC countries create a network of fast ferries between them?
Thanks,
Festerzio, Bahrain.
Dear Stan,
For some time we have been reading two pages with interest in the GulfWeekly entitled ‘Ask Betsy’ and ‘Sidney’s Style’.
We would now know with pleasure, who stands behind Betsy and who behind Sidney? What professional competence is concealed behind these two writers? We are waiting for an answer, so that we can read with interest both pages in the future.
Best regards,
M. A. Franz and family,
Bahrain.
Editor’s note:
Dear Mr and Mrs Franz,
Perhaps you missed their launch columns in GulfWeekly in which all was revealed. Betsy is a successful businesswoman, mother-of-two, philanthropist, inspirational speaker, newspaper columnist, writer, broadcaster, lifestyle and healing guru who has lived in Bahrain since 1980.
Sidney was a writer and columnist for an internationally-renowned women’s fashion magazine as well as an instructor on beauty and well-being at a finishing school, airline and television network. Also a mother-of-two, she is currently the public relations manager at the Gulf Hotel and Gulf International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The GulfWeekly brings you the best – and most qualified – columnists in the kingdom each week. Happy reading!
Dear Stan,
What would I do if I suddenly became invisible? I would be the conscience for people to do righteous things. I would whisper in their ears and guide them to make the right decisions.
