A cheque for BD100,000 was presented by Batelco to Al Rahma Centre, Riffa, which provides care to people with mental disabilities.
Batelco chairman Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, fourth from right, presented the cheque to centre chairman and Central Bank of Bahrain Governor Rasheed Al Maraj, fourth from left. The centre houses the Batelco Recreational Centre built from previous donations. Al Rahma Centre is a non-profit organisation set up for mental retardation needs and provides comprehensive services and programmes for severely mentally retarded adults, both male and female, from the age of 15.
