Batelco, as the leading integrated communications provider in Bahrain and one of the major telecom forces in the region, regularly sends representatives to major telecommunications exhibitions and conference around the world.
In line with this commitment, Batelco senior manager pre-sales and solutions Dr Abdulla Khalifa Al Thawadi delivered a presentation on ‘Batelco’s expectance in implementing the NGN’ at the Fixed Network Profit Model Innovation Seminar during CommunicAsia 2007 in Singapore.
The seminar, which covered the whole spectrum of the Next Generation Network, took place was part of CommunicAsia 2007.
Dr. Al-Thawadi’s presentation covered a range of topics including:
● Batelco main driver and objectives for deploying NGN.
● Overview on the implementation platforms MSAN, MPLS, SoftX.
● Deployment scenarios (Class 4/Class 5/ International Gateway.
● Implementation challenges and experience.
The Seminar also included a number of informative workshops on the latest NGN technology updates and new product launches which Dr Al Thawadi and Batelco manager product development Hesham Mustafa participated in, to share the latest knowledge with their colleagues at Batelco on their return.
