DR Rajender Sachdeva sailed into first place in the final match of the Energade Summer Series at Riffa Golf Club with a score of 22 points.
In second place was Ahmed Sultan (20 points on count back) while Rob Lane was a very close third, also on 20 points.
Serge El Adm won an additional prize for coming nearest to the pin on the 16th hole while Phil Durnford achieved the longest drive on the 11th.
Over 50 golfers took part in the match which concluded with a prize giving ceremony in the club’s Braids restaurant.
“This series has been a huge success with every single match being over subscribed,” said Daniel Thain, marketing and events manager of Gulf Cellar, the sponsors of the series.
“Each match was held in a different format which kept the series exciting and I think all the competitors thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Gulf Cellar looks forward to sponsoring a similar series next summer on the new golf course at Riffa Views.”
