The pairing of Louise Robertson and Ed Daly narrowly won first place in the penultimate match of the Energade Summer Series at Riffa Golf Club for the second week running.
The pair achieved a score of 23 points to tie with two other pairs but clinched the main prize on count back.
Krazy Kevin and his partner Dr Rajender Sachdeva took second place, just ahead of Steve and Yvonne Newall. Megan El Adm won an additional prize for coming nearest to the pin on the 16th hole while Isa Ebrahim achieved the longest drive on the 11th.
The match was fully subscribed for the fifth week running with 52 competitors battling it out for prizes sponsored by Gulf Cellar and Energade.
Daniel Thain, Gulf Cellar’s marketing and events manager, presented the prizes in the club’s Braids restaurant after the match.
The sixth and final match in the series was held last Wednesday and played in the individual stableford format.
