You don’t know me; I know you, I know what’s being said about you. I’m the ‘whisperer’. I am socially mobile: Arab, Brit, Indian, Pakistani, American and the rest, they all invite me and share their world with me. Not much gets past me but if you think it may have done, email me on . . .
The Whisperer was impressed whilst lounging by the pool at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Sports Club & Spa how staff swiftly dealt with a schoolboy who had lost his treasured bracelet. The item was not particularly expensive but was the last present given to him by his late grandmother and was of great sentimental value. Without hesitation the team searched the pool and its water outlets and found it within an hour. The result was one happy child, a relieved mother and customer satisfaction.
Good luck to Anita Ghavami’s mother. The delightful sales and marketing executive at Riffa Golf Club who is pulling out all the stops to give up smoking … so much so that she is planning to seek assistance from an acclaimed stop-smoking guru whilst visiting her mum for a short break. The Whisperer understands that poor mother, who was so looking forward to seeing her sweet daughter for the first time in ages, is a little anxious about how ratty Anita will become as a result of those nicotine withdrawal symptoms. The Whisperer fully understands and appreciates the dilemma as he is married to a chain smoker who now gets ratty even on her beloved shopping trips to the Al A'Ali Mall because of the newly-introduced ‘no smoking’ policy.
