Once again the rumour mills are full of will-they-won’t they on the subject of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s engagement.
While unofficially the world has been aware for months that they are back together again, they’ve only recently made it public and already the papers are talking about the fact Willy-boy is planning to propose.
The latest ‘sure sign’ is that Kate recently went hunting with Will’s father Prince Charles and according to the papers this has been interpreted as “a sign of her growing acceptance in the royal circles”.
Well duh! I think it’s more than clear by now that she has already been fully accepted and largely integrated into said circle. The entire planet and the queen all seem to be in agreement that she is the perfect woman for Will so why do they need to keep going on about it?
If past press is to be believed, it is the very fact that the world and its brother were constantly talking about it that made them split in the first place so why continue the same way when they’re back together again? There is little doubt they will eventually walk down the aisle but until they decide to announce the news for themselves, the poor couple should be left in peace. Bah Humbug!
