Sakana, Holistic Housing Solutions (SHHS) aims to be a home financing company with a difference, writes Asma Salman.

 

R Lakshmanan, CEO of Sakana, said: “What makes it different from other financing companies in the market is the fact that it follows an advisory model approach with clients and offers a holistic approach instead of a fragmented one.

Sakana is built through the 50:50 partnerships between BBK and Shamil Bank and has only been operating in the market for 10 months. It is unique in the way that it is the first company to offer finance to people living anywhere in the world as long as they are credit worthy. It also provides financing upto 90 per cent which could go up to 30 years – the longest time span for home financing in the region.

 

Through its journey, Sakana has forged partnerships with several property developers like Amwaj Islands, Tala Islands, Riffa Views, Durrat Al Bahrain and other private developers in Juffair to provide Islamic mortgage finance solutions to its customers.

 

“We go through a stringent process of evaluating a developer because our reputation is at stake also. Our progress can be gauged by the fact that in a short span of time we have developed three customer service centres around Bahrain,” added Mr Lakshmanan.

 

Sakana Holistic Housing Solutions will showcase its products and services at Bahrain International Property Exhibition (BIPEX) on November 28-30.
