Winter has already officially arrived in Bahrain. The cold weather and excruciating cold winds are evident that Bahrain is in for yet another freezing season.
It's truly the time of year that I enjoy the most here in the kingdom.
You may ask why? Well, it is because it is the time when some are forced to stay indoors together to keep warm and others choose to join up on a family outdoor adventure.
Whatever the reason, it's time to spend more time together and communicate with each other on a more spiritual level.
As for the great outdoors, it is the time when many of the country's citizens and expatriates drive to the south of Bahrain to Sakhir for fun-filled days of camping and also for the enjoyment of the beautiful scenery and mountains as well.
However, in recent years, Sakhir has witnessed a notable change in its environment.
More and more teenagers and youngsters arrive by themselves and put on loud music and create annoying rackets till the early hours of the morning.
What is even more annoying is the amount of reckless driving on the roads at Sakhir. Last year I witnessed a lot of accidents.
Now come on people! Where is the fun in doing that stuff when only you guys are enjoying it and others are not?
As a result, it is more noticeable in recent years that more families are forced to camp further away, to get some distance from the disturbance because the annoyance is too much to handle at times.
So let's clean up our act and let the families enjoy their time before it's too late and temperatures rise for a more natural, sunny reason!
