THE Bahrain International Motor Show will take place for the first time at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) from April 24 to 27.
Messe Essen is organising the event, in partnership with the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority, and has lined-up automobile sensations, extravagant innovations, motor sport highlights, vehicle individualisation, nostalgic classics and spectacular show acts for visitors.
Similar events have proved to be a resounding success in Germany and Europe for 40 years and the Essen Motor Show is the largest of its kind in the world.
They hope to "ignite the passion" of motoring enthusiasts in the kingdom.
A spokesman said: "From youthful enthusiasts who polish their cars to perfection to ardent collectors whose garages boast all the latest models, here, everybody loves cars.
"Now, fans and enthusiasts can get their fill of excitement and keep up to date with new product launches, latest developments in ultra high performance cars and green car industries and tune into exclusive gizmos, gadgets and accessories.
"The event promises to be the largest automotive trade and consumer show of its kind in the Middle East with around 17,000 square metres of exhibits.
"It's not surprising that Bahrain is fast growing into the hub of motor sport in the region. The annual Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix has already placed it on the global motor sport map and the booming automotive market has given it a competitive advantage, enabling the kingdom to score highly on regional rankings set by the automotive industry.
"With its product diversity and its new format, the Bahrain International Motor Show will open up new market chances in the region."
