Watch out for it: Axis of Evil - on Showtime

January 23 - 29, 2008
331 views

Showtime broadcasts the best of 'behind the scenes' events of the Middle East Axis of Evil comedy tour which took place in Amman, Cairo, Beirut, Kuwait, and Dubai by a trio of Middle Eastern-American comedians.

Egyptian Ahmed Ahmed, Iranian Maz Jobrani and Palestinian Aron Kader, held 27 live shows with more than 20,000 fans attending.

During their tour and on stage, they expressed how the West creates unrealistic stereotypes of people from the Middle East, through their hilarious stage routines.

For Ahmed, Kader and Jobrani, humour is the best way to break down the barriers that exist and achieve their objectives, with a few laughs along the way.

Watch the captivating events as captured by Showtime cameras behind the scenes and how Showtime found the fourth member of the group - Korean, Wonho Chung, who speaks fluent Arabic - and their journey to find the top stand up comedian from the region.

What talents will they encounter? Will they survive the traffic? What lessons will they take back with them to the West?

Also on Showtime: Don't miss the brand new episodes of 'House' season three, kicking off from January 31st on Showtime.

Every week a new mystery ... every week a new baffling case that only one team can solve. House returns to Showseries every Thursday at 6pm and Showseries Extra at 8pm.

Golden Globe winner Hugh Laurie is back on call as sardonic Dr Gregory House in Season three of this smash-hit series, television's most intelligent and provocative drama.

Dr Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) is devoid of bedside manner and wouldn't even talk to his patients if he could get away with it. Dealing with his own constant physical pain, he uses a cane that seems to punctuate his acerbic, brutally honest demeanour. While his behaviour can border on antisocial, House is a brilliant diagnostician whose unconventional thinking and flawless instincts afford him a great deal of respect. An infectious disease specialist, he thrives on the challenge of solving medical puzzles in order to save lives.

Make an appointment this month with Dr House and his team for a full diagnosis that's internationally storming the ratings - this is one House call worth making.
