¥ Kudlothsava (Mangalore Happiness) - a festival highlighting the traditions and cultures of South Indian city of Manglore will be held at the Indian Club in Manama on February 22. Twenty five artistes are being flown in from the region to entertain guests at the event which begins at 8.30am. The main attraction of the event will be 'Puli Kali' or tiger dance and others include food, electronic and garment. There will also be games such as women's open cricket tournament, men's kabbadi and women's throwball. Part of the proceedings will be donated towards local charities. ¥ La Fontaine Centre of Contemporary Art in Manama will present Nicolas Roeg's mystical masterpiece movie 'Walkabout', on February 24. The movie features a sister and brother abandoned in the harsh Australian outback who join an Aboriginal on his Walkabout - a tribal initiation into manhood. It stars Jenny Agutter and David Gul Pillial. Doors open at 9.00pm and movie starts at 7.30pm. Screening will be followed by a buffet dinner priced at BD10 net.
