First and foremost I would like to give a warm welcome to all the F1 visitors from all around the world who are visiting our lovely kingdom for this great and amazing event.

Let me also present a welcome to all the drivers and teams that will be competing for the grand prize. Having a world sporting event in Bahrain has given the kingdom immense opportunities in many countless fields.

As a Bahraini youngster, I am very proud that the country on its own can handle and manage such a big event that will be broadcast across the globe.

It is also an opportunity for all residents, young and old, to showcase the kingdom's ability to be known as a peaceful and loving country that is not plagued with violence and hatred.

Furthermore, the event itself gives encouragement to a lot of the young people in Bahrain to reach their dreams.

Drivers do not win Grands Prix without practice and patience and this serves as a guiding rule for all of us whether it is in sports, academics, or career paths.

The event, moreover, gives Bahrainis a chance to socialise with the many different cultures and nationalities that will be gathering around the Bahrain International Circuit.

Hopefully, all of us will also become great ambassadors of the kingdom during this week and will be able to showcase Bahrain's warm hospitality.

On a personal note, I hope Jenson Button will be able to perform to his true potential and talent and will make it to the podium!
