THE internationally-acclaimed Property Arabia & The Worldwide Property Show 2008 opens today at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.

Taking place until Saturday the consumer property show, created by Bahrain-based Arabian Exhibition Management along with Dubai Shows Limited, boasts more than 65 exhibitors displaying property from more than 30 different countries.

Dareen Al Saad, Arabian Exhibition Management project manager, said: "There has never been another show like Property Arabia & The Worldwide Property Show in Bahrain.

"We have answered Bahrain's demand for an international calibre exhibition by providing unparalleled investment opportunities and the widest range of exclusive properties ever seen.

"The response to this exhibition series has been so overwhelming that we have made the decision to run a second 2008 edition of the show."

On show this May and October will be a vast range of exclusive residential and commercial properties, as well as related services including apartments and penthouses, agents, architects, financial institutions, interiors, new city and town projects, resort and island properties and waterfront and luxury developments.

The last edition of Property Arabia & The Worldwide Property show attracted 5,585 visitors which was a 26 per cent increase on Property Arabia 2007. Arabian Exhibition Management, which runs a highly successful portfolio of established events in Bahrain including the well known Jewellery Arabia series, anticipate a considerable visitor turnout.

Ms Al Saad said: "Property Arabia & The Worldwide Property Show 2008 represents an exciting prospect for people interested in the unique investment opportunity of buying property. Arabian Exhibition Management predicts that more than 6,500 high net worth individuals and corporate investors will take advantage of this exceptional opportunity."

Numerous major developers are taking stands at the event including Abraj Al Lulu, Abu Dhabi Investment House, Era Projects, Gulf Holding Company, Landmark Properties, Landmark Bahrain, Orchid Developers, Sherwoods Real Estate and Tabarak Group among many others.

"The huge success and popularity of this exhibition has led to an absolutely staggering number of international exhibitors attending our two exhibitions this year.

Property Arabia and the Worldwide Property Show 2008 is open to trade visitors and the general public today from 10am to 2pm and 4pm to 9pm and tomorrow, and from noon to 9pm on Friday and Saturday.

Property Arabia & The Worldwide Property Show will be returning to Bahrain for a second time in 2008 from October 29 to November 1.

Entry to the exhibition is free of charge. Children under the age of 16 will not be admitted.
