EXPATS are flocking to snap up apartments in the Marina West development which has seen 50 per cent of the entire project sold following the release of six out of the 10 residential towers proposed.
Studies of nationalities who have bought into the Bahrain dream show that 43 per cent of them are expatriates, 35 per cent Bahraini with the rest coming from neighbouring Gulf states.
Comprising 350,000 square meters of residential, retail and leisure space, Marina West will be Bahrain's largest gated beachfront residential community.
Situated on the kingdom's west coast the developers say interest has recently picked up with a notable increase in the number of apartment inquiries being received by Marina West Property Management.
Mahmood Janahi, Marina West managing director, said: "Buyers have shown the most interest thus far in the one bedroom apartments and two bedroom apartments, with 100 per cent of them sold out in three phases.
"The three bedroom apartments have also garnered enormous interest, with buyers snatching up 85 per cent of the available simplex and duplex-style three bedroom apartments in all three phases.
"As varied as people's tastes are, we believe that everyone can find something to suit them at Marina West."
So far this year from the total number of apartments on offer, approximately 95 per cent of Phase 1 and Phase 2 and 36 per cent of Phase 3 have been sold.
The first sales phase comprises towers 2, 4 and 11, and the second sales phase comprises tower 3 and tower 9, as for Phase 3 it comprises tower 7 which has only recently been released for sale.
Each phase contains several apartment options in the form of one, two, three and four bedroom simplex and duplex freehold residences, as well as a number of penthouse suites.
"You do not only purchase a residence when you buy one of Marina West's apartments, you also buy a lifestyle that is unique in Bahrain," explained Mr Janahi.
