MORE than 40 per cent of the piling work has already been completed on the land which will house Era Towers, one the kingdom's tallest residential buildings under construction.
The setting up of site offices has also started, revealed Ghizlane Remmal, marketing manager, just prior to this week's official signing ceremony with the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) which have been awarded a multi-dinar contract to construct the luxury complex.
As highlighted in last week's Property Weekly, CSCEC has become the largest construction company and international contractor in China.
Era Towers has also signed up Al Mohayeed Air Conditioning Company, which is considered one of the leading experts in its field.
The 50-storey complex is situated in the much sought-after Seef District and its apartments will also boast fabulous views over the city. It is not surprising that the development has already created massive interest amongst home-buyers and property investors with 80 per cent already being snapped up.
The development will be completed by the end of 2010.
Era Projects is also in the process of appointing a quality auditor to ensure "clients are getting the best value for their money," said Ms Remmal.
The success of the company's earlier project The Avare, a grand 30-storey tower, has given added confidence to buyers and investors, she added. It was completed last December, boasting 88 freehold apartments and a penthouse and has become one of the most sought after addresses in Bahrain.
