Wednesday (June 18)¥ The Double Vue photography exhibition is being held at La Maison Jamsheer in Muharraq created by award-winning Lebanese-born Canadian artist Camille Zakharia and ends tomorrow. ¥ DJ and music producer Phil Weeks will perform at the Level in the Mishal Hotel in Hoora. His DJ career started 10 years ago and has played at renowned venues such as een's Club, Circus, Ministry of Sound, Back to Basics and Stereo. Friday (June 20)

¥ Konkani play 'Police' will be staged at the Baan Saeeng Thai restaurant auditorium, Adliya at 5pm.

Directed by Goan comedian Agostinho Temudo, the play throws light on the way political pressure affects the work ethics of policemen.

The play's Bahrain staging is being organised by culture groups, the Folk Theatre in association with the Bahrain Goans and FFR Productions.

A group of 14 Konkani stage artistes, who are on a Gulf tour will perform in the comedy that has already been staged over 75 times in Goa, India.

The troupe also includes comedy stars Selvy, Samuel, Osvi, Salu, Mathew, Joaquim, Benny, Roma and Jessica.

The Goa Kala Academy award-winners Norman Cardoso and Agnelo Dias will also accompany the troupe on the tour to render music for the show.

Police will feature a number of solos and duet songs that convey social issues and the prevalence of corruption.

¥ The Bahrain Meditation Centre in Adliya is staging a meditation foundation course from 7pm to 9pm every Saturday and Tuesday. Supporters claim it calms the mind and body replenishing mental and emotional energy. The centre also offers a drop-in meditation every evening from 7pm to 7.30pm. For details contact 17712545.

Sunday (June 22)

¥ The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel and Spa is organising a Kids Summer Camp until August 13. It will be a mix of fun, learning and adventure for children between five and 12 years old. The highlights include a football tournament and swimming competition, tennis, fishing, boat trips, windsurfing, boxing, snorkeling, badminton, volleyball, camp fire, cooking classes, camp sleepover and the closing ceremonies.
