Thursday (August 14) The Indian club in Manama is set to host its summer camp finale on the occasion of India's Independence Day which falls tomorrow. Winners of various activities will be awarded with certificates and trophies. A cultural programme consisting of patriotic songs, dance and skits will also be staged. For details contact 39861266.

The Pakistan Club will celebrate Pakistan Independence Day at its premises with a flag raising at 7.30am followed by a speech by club chairman Mohammad Sajed Sheikh.

The Leo Club in association with the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) is hosting a charity event to raise funds in order to save the Alia early intervention centre from shutting down at the Caesar’s restaurant in Adliya on Thursday.

The Kannada Sangha will host a mega cultural event to celebrate India's 61st Independence Day at the Indian Club auditorium. The event will feature patriotic songs, dances, skits and dance dramas. A flag raising ceremony will be held at 7am and the event will start at 10.30am. The Sangha will also conduct a blood donation campaign as part of the celebrations. For details contact 39837771.

Indian DJ Amyth will create a 'Night of Mayhem' at the Marina Club from 9pm. Music producer and DJ Amyth has performed at Go Bananas, Wild Orchid, Wig Wam, Avalon, Club Abbyss, Black Out, The Scream, Razzberry Rhinoceros, Caprice, Big One and The Resort.
