UK-based musician Terry Farley will perform at Club Seven on August 22.

He has worked alongside well-known artists such as Paul Oakenfold and Andy Weatherall.

The Filipino Club in cooperation with FC Sayaw Unlimited under the patronage of the Philippine Embassy is presenting the Maskara Fiesta Part Three on August 22. The event will feature Salsa and Latin dancing at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Manama. It will begin at 7pm and is BD10 per head. 'Ang Mga Likha ni Juan dela Cruz' - The Masterpieces of Juan dela Cruz will be on display on August 22 and 23 at the Al Murjan Ballroom in the Movenpick Hotel, Muharraq.

Phenomena Productions will honour Juan dela Cruz, President of the Republic of the Philippines at the event which begins at 10.30am with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Different forms of Filipino art will be showcased from visual to non-visual, traditional to contemporary arts. There will be a feature on both established and aspiring Filipino artists in Bahrain and workshops on both days.

Fourteen artworks by the Association of Filipino artists will be on display alongside 10 photos from the Gulf Photographers Network.

Additional entertainment will include Filipino musicians and dancers, fashion designers and other performing arts.

Proceeds of the event will be donated to Rehabilitation Institute for Active Learning Centre (RIA) and the OWWA.

The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) is set to celebrate 10 days of the Indian harvest festival, Onam from September 4.

Chief guest at the event will be Trivandrum Soorya Stage and Film Society founder, Soorya Krishna Moothri.

The event will have a traditional 'Onam pookkalam' (floral decoration) contest on September 5 with cash prizes and trophies for the winners.

All India People National Theatre for Folklore and Jananaya Arts and Cultural Theatre members Prem Prasad and Praseedha Kumari will be flown in from Thrissur, Kerala to lead and organize.

Cultural programmes will take place over the course of the event organised by All India People National Theatre for Folklore and Jananaya Arts and Cultural Theatre.

The Onasadhya - Onam grand feast will be held on September 19 for which a chef will be specifically flown in from Kerala, India.

The feast which will be at 8pm, will feature over 30 items and is free.

Award-winning Indian singers K S Chitra and Dr S P Balasubramanium will perform at the Centrepoint Desert Symphony music concert on October 2. It will be held during Eid at the Indian School grounds in Isa Town.

The duo will be accompanied by 18 professional musicians from India including playback singers Radhika Thilak and Sudeep Kumar.

The charity concert is being held to raise funds for Bahrain Mobility International.

Bollywood singer Babul Supriyo is set to perform on December 15 at the Gulf Convention Centre in the Gulf Hotel, Adliya.

'Amidst Sargam', organised by the Indian Ladies Association, will raise money for the Sneha Recreation Centre, a free facility for children of all nationalities with special needs. The 2008 Sneha cards collection is titled Amidst Colours and will be launched on September 16.

Aside from the entertaining evening, the ILA will also host a popular 'Dandiya' dance event on October 3 at Al Ahli Club, Zinj, for the Navratri festival.
