Catherine Bolton

Catherine Bolton has been appointed director of marketing communications at Banyan Tree Desert Spa and Resort, Al Areen.

A British/ South African national, Ms Bolton joined the resort from Johannesburg, where she was successfully managing her own communications consultancy specialising in marketing the country's finest luxury lifestyle brands.

Prior to launching her own consultancy, Ms Bolton was based in several tourism destinations including the Maldives, London, Greece, Cape Town and the Balearic Islands.

In her new role, Ms Bolton will be in charge of the strategic direction and service delivery of all marketing communications initiatives at Banyan Tree Al Areen. "I am delighted. It's exciting to be a part of the greater vision that sees Bahrain set to become one of the most vibrant economies in the world," said Catherine.

Eman Ali Yusuf

Gulf Insurance Institute, Amwaj Islands, has appointed Mrs Eman Ali Yusuf to its team as a corporate training consultant, specialising in management and marketing.

Mrs Yusuf has a master's degree from an Australian university, a postgraduate diploma in training and a Certificate in Personnel Practice from the CIPD, UK.
