Artlounge 2 is set to take place at the Alfresco, central courtyard of Nadwah Ballroom at the Banyan Tree Al Areen on October 23 from 7pm onwards. The World Memory Championship will be held from October 23 to 26 at the Gulf Convention Centre at the Gulf Hotel, Adliya. South African percussionists Tony and Frank Paco will make their Bahrain debut with a performance at the opening of Papi Chulo's, at The Palace hotel, Adliya on October 28.

The brothers, who are drummers, percussionists, producers, composers and session musicians, migrated to South Africa at an early age to study.

The Paco brothers performed their own set, in addition to supporting other musicians, during the 46664 Nelson Mandela Concert and played at the North Sea Jazz Festivals in Holland, the New Orleans Jazz Festival, the Lugano Jazz Festival in Switzerland and the Cape Town Jazz Festival.

To celebrate Indian festivals Dassera, Navratri and Diwali, the Delmon International Hotel is organising a Delmon Mela mega event on October 30 at the Hotel poolside from 7pm. The event will feature DJ Tegas from India flown in especially for the event. His areas of specialisation are remixing, music production, range of genres - Bollywood remixes, pop, house, trance, chilli & lounge, Asian underground, dandiya and bhangra. DJ Tegas will come on stage at 9pm.

The mela event will also feature optional chat counters, Kebab and Biryani stalls, Desi Mittai, Henna and face painting stalls aside from the beverage stalls. The FC Sayaw Unlimited will host a benefit dance project titled 'Salsa Latina Noche Encantada Part 2' on October 30 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Manama. The event is held in cooperation with Gawad Kalinga Bahrain. Beneficiaries for the event are the 2nd GK Bahrain Village for the Homeless in Tarlac, Philippines and the Bahrain Association for Parents and Friends of the Disabled. A Night of Mayhem will be hosted by the Desi Vibezzz at the Marina Club, Manama, on October 31 from 8pm. Indian music producer and DJ Nawed Khan will entertain guests by launching the global Desi Music brand Desi Vibezzz at the newly-refurbished Marina Club Beach. Desi Vibezz will be featured once in a month in different venues, different vibes and top DJs being flown in especially for the event.

The La Fontaine Centre of Contemporary Art in Manama is hosting a painting exhibition by Iraqi/Dutch artist Neidim Kufi. Neidim is an Iraqi artist who fled to the Netherlands to ply his art and life pursuits and still involved in his people's plight. The exhibition will be held until November 14. The American Women's Association will celebrate its 30th annual fall Craft Fair on November 1 at the Palm Hall of the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.

The theme this year is 'Festive Jubilee - Celebrating 30 Years of Craft Fair' and will showcase highlights of previous fairs.

The event will be open to general public from noon to 5pm. Entry is 500 fils and proceeds will be used to support AWA's community service projects.
