More than 70 members of AIESEC in the region attended the group's 2nd Gulf Conference in Doha.

The three-day event, organised under the theme 'Sustainable Youth for an Emerging Gulf', focused on putting across the market trends and sustainable development in the region.

The conference brought together AIESEC members from Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain and Oman to draw up strategies, review regional initiatives and undergo functional training and skill development.

The conference at the Hotel Millennium and College of North Atlantic, Qatar, was under the patronage of Shaikh Faisal bin Qassim bin Faisal Al Thani.

Discussions focused on the current trends in the Gulf region and representatives from corporate, non-corporate, university and governmental organisations conducted a panel discussion on market reality and the different perspectives on key regional trends.

Also present was BNP Paribas, who conducted a market trend workshop, on 'Project finance' and 'Current market conditions'.

Participants gained knowledge about project financing, how it works in the GCC region and the target sectors for project financing at a session conducted by Arnaud Bouchet, BNP's regional manager in project financing.
