Mannai Motors has launched a special showroom for price-busting Chinese JAC and Geely vehicles in Sitra.
It was inaugurated by Chinese Ambassador Li Zhigo at a special ceremony last week which also saw the launch of four new commercial vehicles and two cars.
Talal M A Al Mannai, managing director of Mannai Motors, described the event as 'a very important day' in the company's history. The company has added JAC commercial vehicles to its portfolio which already features Geely cars.
He said: "We are proud to say that we achieved this prestigious brand dealership because of our outstanding track record in our sales and after-sales operation."
Mannai Motors was the first distributor to introduce Chinese passenger cars to the markets of Bahrain and Qatar in 2005.
"With these two brands Mannai Motors's presence will be established in all segments of the automotive market with products that are of high quality, unbeatable price and most efficient in fuel consumption," Mr Mannai added.
Mannai Motors has been the exclusive distributor of Geely passenger cars for Bahrain and Qatar since 2005.
Geely unveiled two models - the CK and MK. The Geely CK offers a 1.3 litre engine with manual transmission and CK 1.5L engine with automatic transmission. Prices start from as little as BD2,900. The MK model features a 1.6L engine and costs BD3,690.
Standard features include airbag, anti-locking braking system, electronic brake force distribution and an impact absorbing steering column. Geely cars are covered by three years or 100,000km manufacturer's warranty.
JAC three, four, five and six ton cargo trucks were launched featuring 4.8L diesel engines. All vehicles are covered by three years or 60,000km warranty. Prices start at BD4,600.
Other brands under the company's distributorship include Opel and Saab.
