Andrew Marshall held on to the Bahrain Open golf title after coming from six strokes behind to edge past opening round leader Nasser Yacoob by three shots at the Awali Golf Club.
European Tour golfer Marshall carded a five-under-par 65 over the final 18 holes on the second day to finish six-under 134 and clinch the winner's trophy in the 46th edition of the Gulf's longest-running tournament.
The Englishman thwarted Yacoob for the second straight year. The Bahraini failed to take advantage of his record-breaking score of 63 in Friday's opening round of play. On Saturday he struggled for a four-over-par 74 and finished the competition three-under 137.
Taking third place was the host club's resident professional David Park, who was on par on the final day to finish one-over 141. Stuart Mackie had the same closing score, but Park won on countback.
Marshall took advantage of Saturday's pleasant playing conditions along the desert course and sank an eagle on the par five fifth, and also carded four birdies to go with just one bogey. He had already cut Yacoob's lead to one stroke after the front nine holes, and eventually ended the Open as the only player to finish below par on both days.
