Ernst & Young's Global Oil & Gas Industry Sector Centre, the focal point of its global energy practice, is moving to Bahrain, according to Tariq Sadiq, the managing partner of Ernst & Young Bahrain.

Hubs in London, Houston, Perth, Moscow, Calgary, Sao Paulo, Kuwait, Al Khobar, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Libya already offer a network of energy professionals, contributing to a global platform which offers services to companies operating in all sectors of the oil and gas industry.

"Moving the centre to Bahrain demonstrates our commitment to growing our oil and gas expertise and resources in the Middle East and symbolises the importance of Middle East oil and gas to our global practice.

"From the global centre in Bahrain, we will issue publications related to oil and gas, ensure our oil and gas practitioners have the appropriate training and tools to serve our clients and facilitate the sharing of knowledge and resources among our people and practices," said Mr Sadiq.

Basing the Global Oil & Gas Industry Sector Centre in Bahrain will directly benefit Middle East oil and gas clients because it offers immediate access to quality people and service offerings.

As an externally oriented centre, it will host clients for workshops and roundtables as well as those who are interested in doing business in the Middle East. The global centre will be launched officially in Bahrain later this year.
