GIANNI Morbidelli clinched the Speedcar Series title after finishing the season's final race three-tenths of a second ahead of defending champion Johnny Herbert.
Formula One test driver for Force India, Vitantonio Liuzzi, won the race. His victory in 41 minutes 02.174 seconds helped his UP Team win the team title.
Teammate Shaikh Hasher Al Maktoum of the UAE joined him on the podium after finishing in third place, behind race runner-up Thomas Biagi. The podium finishers were all within five seconds of each other.
With the result, Morbidelli improved to 55 points in first place, followed by Herbert with 53 in second. Liuzzi ended the season on 45 points. UP finished with 70 points, followed by JMB Racing 64 and HPR 44.
