JUBULENT organisers of the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix have been celebrating the staging of the sixth event which attracted thousands of motor sport lovers to the kingdom from all over the world.
The kingdom also managed to capitalise on spreading the 'business friendly Bahrain' message to a massive global TV audience.
Martin Whitaker, above, the Bahrain International Circuit's chief executive officer, said: "I think the BIC really came of age at the weekend.
"The race was excellent and that says a lot about the F1 championship itself and the success of the many changes made in the sport to make it more exciting and attractive.
"The presentation of the Grand Prix was crucial because you are the focal point of five million TV viewers.
"I don't think anyone-else has done anything like us in terms of entertainment, colours and the vibrancy of the circuit. The event looked absolutely stunning."
