Wednesday (June 3) The Albareh Art Gallery in Adliya is hosting a solo exhibition by Jordanian artist

Mohammed Al Ameri titled 'The Butterfly effect' until June 16. Mr Al Ameri will showcase 25 paintings on canvas and paper inspired by The Butterfly Effect, a book by the late renowned poet Mahmood Darwich. Its Mirchi Lounge at the Ramee International Hotel in Juffair is presenting 'Desi Electro House' featuring music producer and DJ Reme. The Manama Singers and Bahrain Concert Sinfonia will be performing at the Crowne Plaza Convention Centre. Puccini's Messa di Gloria, Haydn - Te Deum and Handel - Zadok The Priest will be featured conducted by Alistair Auld, Clifford Lister as tenor soloist and Colin Campbell on bass alongside more than 100 singers and 60 musicians. Saturday (June 6)

Cinema director and writer Art Jones will be presenting his film Models of Success to members of the American Women's Association at the Golden Tulip Hotel at 10am. The film, a documentary which profiles three successful professional women from Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain, will be followed by a lecture from Mr. Jones and guest appearances by two ladies from the film. It is open to the public for a small fee. Art Jones has worked in the educational and commercial audiovisual industry for over 25 years.

His experience has seen him work in fields of studio photography, commercial and educational scriptwriting, curriculum designing, university, and media/public relations consultancy. For details contact 39971376.

The American Women's Association is having its annual spring bazaar at the Bapco Club in Awali from noon until 5pm.

It will be open to AWA members at 11am and to the General Public from noon to 5pm.

The bazaar will feature gifts, souvenirs, baked goods and crafts at low prices. The coffee shop at the Bapco Club will be open for lunch and dinner. Entrance fee is 500 fils which supports the AWA's many Community Service Projects.
