More than 200 of Bahrain's young basketball stars practised drills and learned various team building skills at the Zain Basketball Arena in Umm Al Hasssam with former National Basketball Association (NBA) star Jerome Williams and former Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) player Andrea Stinson.
The US Embassy in Manama, the General Organisation for Youth and Sports and the Bahrain Basketball Association hosted the programme.
Stinson, a former Charlotte Sting team favourite, said: "I think the kids are great and are having a lot of fun. They really showed us that they are into the game and what they are capable of."
Throughout his NBA career Williams played for the Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors and New York Knicks.
Arad school pupil Azziz Abdul Rahman, 10, said: "I am having so much fun and am learning a lot. I love basketball and want to become an NBA player for the Los Angeles Lakers."
