Mohammed Jalal & Sons, the exclusive Jaguar importer in Bahrain, has announced a strong half-year performance by posting a 33 per cent increase in year-to-date Jaguar sales over the same period last year.
One of the highest contributors to the sales was the award-winning XF saloon launched last year, recording extremely strong growth; and which continues to be a sell-out to date.
Strong sales continued for Jaguar's existing product portfolio that includes the XK sports car and the flagship XJ saloon which witnessed 50 per cent growth, and the X-Type compact premium saloon that sold 11 per cent more than the same period in 2008.
"We are extremely happy with the strong growth and sales of Jaguar cars in Bahrain. The XF in particular has been performing very well in the premium saloon segment that it competes in. Coupled with our state-of-art showroom and strong emphasis on after-sales service, we look forward with anticipation and excitement to the growth potential that the revitalised Jaguar brand offers," said Mohammed Jalal & Sons brand manager Mustafa Al Bastaki.
Jaguar Middle East and North Africa managing director Robin Colgan said: "We congratulate Mohammed Jalal & Sons on this remarkable performance and their commitment to the Jaguar brand. These results clearly highlight that more and more customers are enjoying Jaguar's current product portfolio of beautiful, fast cars. It is an asset to have a very successful and capable partner like Mohammed Jalal & Sons by our side."
As one of the most recognised brands in the luxury car segment, Jaguar has remained true to its core value of designing and delivering beautiful, fast cars with the very best in performance and luxury.
The company introduced its bold new design direction two years ago. The all new XJ, Jaguar's flagship, recently unveiled, is the third car to be built under the new direction after XK and XF.
