I've been enlisted as Gulf Weekly's new fashion guru and have picked Slash as my first assignment because it's the perfect choice for the fashion conscious on a budget and their new Autumn/Winter collection is no exception.

Women can now dress for success and unleash their power ensembles by sporting the '80s Power Dressing' trend this autumn. As the structured and tailored look returns, it brings along a futuristic twist to season chic.

Also for women is The Warrior Goddess range which embraces the ultimate reincarnation of bygone Greek and Roman influences. This line showcases sensual soft dressing coupled with studded leathers to reflect attitude.

And men are not to be left out with the simple 'Sartorial Man' range, a basic collection of ultrafine fabrics. Sharp fittings and clean cuts make way for classic tastes like chinos paired with yarn dyed checked shirts and tailored jackets.

Alternatively, they can get back to their roots with 'Country Romeo'. Checkered trousers, shirts with bow collars, shirts with stand up collars, three-piece suits in plaid fabrics in blacks, grays, browns and winter whites are big.

Fun, funky and fresh, Splash's Autumn/Winter collection adapts key designer trends across international catwalks for pocket-friendly high-street styles.
