The Mšvenpick Hotel in Muharraq has created a haven for seafood lovers to enjoy a meal to remember in a relaxing and cozy ambience.

Every Monday the hotel's Silk's restaurant offers guests a wide array of fish dishes from various international cuisines, cooked to suit personal choices and tastes.

Helping manage the kitchen is seafood specialist and the hotel's executive sous chef Jeffrey Ibrahim, 39, who boasts 20 years of culinary experience.

His key skills lie in the areas of fine dining and continental restaurants and specialised in Asian and European cuisine.

The Malaysian has worked with various leading hospitality establishments including Hyatt Saujana, Hilton, Concorde Hotel and Sheraton Imperial in Kuala Lumpur alongside Ferrycarring Hotel Wexford and Marriott Johnstown Hotel and Spa in Ireland.

Chef Jeffrey said: "When I first started this career I never dreamed it would give me the opportunity to travel the world and experience different lifestyles and cuisines."

Chef Jeffrey moved to the island in 2008 from the Sheraton Hotel in Kuala Lumpur after being snapped up by the Mšvenpick Hotel.

"I believe Arabic food has a lot of similarities to Asian cuisine, which itself is extremely popular in the region," he said.

The hotel's Seafood Night is held from 7pm to 11pm and costs BD18.200++ per person inclusive of selected beverages.

On Thursdays, the outlet hosts a Steak Night offering flame-grilled steaks cooked as per the guest's liking from 7pm to 11pm for BD18.200++ per person including selected beverages.
