Gulf Weekly Website revamp plan

Guests of the award-winning Al Safir Hotel and Tower in Bahrain will soon be able to book their stay with no hassle - anywhere, anytime and with any extra personal requirements such as an airport pick up or full board stay - online, thanks to the latest upgrade of the company's website.

A new website promises to be well-architected and easy-to navigate as well as highlighting the hotel's 'theme and personality' and will be launched soon.

Juffair's only four-star hotel, which recently achieved international accolades for the excellence of its management, occupational health and food safety standards, has linked up with TravelClick, a leading provider of e-commerce solutions for hotels, servicing more than 15,000 hotel customers in 140 countries.

Rogier van Zeventer, director of sales, said: "We intend to engage our visitors so they linger longer on our website to ensure we turn 'lookers' into 'bookers'!

"The modern traveller wants to experience local hospitality and at the time same feel the comfort of a 'home away from home'.

"Guests can not only enhance their room by adding amenities - they can also customise their packages in the same way. And, with a daily inventory, guests can now choose specific days for a particular enhancement. The more personalised their stay; the happier they will be.

"Our guests can now focus on creating their special stay experience. At a single glance, they will be able to check availability on an interactive calendar. With a click on dates, guests will see rates and available rooms updated dynamically on one screen. No back button, no reloading of pages, no starting over.

"Landing on our new booking engine is like an actual walk through the door of our hotel. Guests move through the booking with enticing visuals and options. Rooms, packages and rate options are presented clearly with rich images. Guests can easily compare all their options, making the decision to book an easy and welcoming experience. We are confident this will result in higher guest satisfaction."

Mr van Zeventer says the latest investment in technology is part of the company's expansion plans. "We are planning to open Al Safir Residence, our third property very soon," he said.

"With our new site and booking engine and Central Reservation System (CRS) we can control all properties in an easy, effective and productive way, also TravelClick provides exclusive demand driver add-ons: revenue management, market intelligence, Global Distribution System (GDS) advertising and Internet marketing.

Al Safir Hotel & Tower offers 112 rooms and 71 apartments facing scenic views.

Whether staying for business or pleasure, a multitude of services are available to guests and corporate bodies including a business centre, same day guest laundry, car rental, tours desk and courtesy shuttle buses to shopping malls.

"The driving force behind the success of Al Safir Hotel & Tower is deeply rooted in our mission statement 'Hospitality is our Heritage'," added Mr van Zeventer.
