A COWBOY show hosted by Ahmed Haider Stable took place on Friday featuring cowboys and girls of all sizes shapes and ages, from the smallest of children riding the biggest of horses, and amazingly doing the twists and turns identified with the traditional cowboy games.
All the games are a version of barrel racing; some games had the horses racing up and down the barrels in straight lines others asked for twists and turns as they went. The whole event was packed, despite the awful sandstorm that accompanied it and all the horses and riders had a fantastic time.
Sponsored by Ahmed Haider & Burro Stable, Aziz Haider and Nader Al Ahmed and Al Mannai Pro's Gym, there were beautiful trophies and cash prizes for all the winners.
It is an amazing sight to see all these cowboys congregate for these shows; all in full costume with their horses authentically decked in western gear, a must for all to see.
